Privacy Policy

Numistep helps you start one task a day. To do that, it has to remember a few things about you. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to delete it — in plain language.
What we collect
Your quiz answers: the multiple-choice answers about how your days go, and the one task you type in. If you tick “Medication” or “Coaching or therapy” in the quiz, we store only that tick — never details.
Your email address, so we can send your sign-in link and account emails.
What you do in the app: daily tasks and first steps, focus sessions and the line you write after them, evening check-ins including optional notes, and your messages with the coach.
Usage events: which screens you open and which buttons you tap, plus the campaign tags of the link you arrived through (such as utm_source or sub_id). These events never contain your email or the text you type.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for or store diagnoses, medication names or doses. During the free early-access period we don't collect payment details.
How we use it
To build your daily step, reply to your check-ins and run the coach.
To understand which parts of the app actually help people start — and fix the parts that don't.
To see which ads bring people who find the app useful, using campaign tags and anonymous events, not your email.
The AI coach
Coach replies, suggested first steps and weekly patterns are written by an AI model (Claude, made by Anthropic). We send it your quiz profile, your tasks, your check-ins and a short summary of past conversations. We never send your email, name or IP address.
If a message suggests you may be in crisis, the coach stops coaching and points you to people who can help right away.
Who helps us run the app
Hosting (Vercel), database and sign-in (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), product analytics (PostHog) and ad measurement (Meta). They process data only to provide their service to us. We don't sell your personal information.
Cookies and on-device storage
We store your progress in your browser's local storage so the app works right away, and analytics tools may use cookies to count visits. You can clear them in your browser settings — the app will still work, but progress saved on this device will be reset.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. You can download a copy anytime in Settings → Download my data, and delete everything in Settings → Delete my account.
Deletion is immediate and permanent: we remove your records rather than hiding them.
Age
Numistep is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change applies.
Contact
A dedicated contact address will be listed here before public launch. Until then, you can download or delete all of your data yourself in Settings.
